7/7/2019: We did not have the weekend we expected because of the heavy rain on Saturday, so we have decided to remain open at the New Lisbon field on Deep Run Lane on Monday and Tuesday (July 8 and 9), 9am - 5pm. The berries are approaching over-ripeness, so this will definitely be the end, subject to the slim possibility that the Elliots will be worth picking (see below).
There is some possibility that we could pick a variety called Elliots at the Odd Fellows Road field in a week or two, but this variety has been a disappointment the last couple of years and has not been worth picking, so it is unlikely. If we decide it's worth picking this year, we'll let you know here and via e-mail (for those on our e-mail list).
It's best to bring bug spray. And bring containers to take home your berries in!
To get to the New Lisbon field on Deep Run Lane, see "SPECIAL DIRECTIONS TO NEW LISBON FIELD" on our DIRECTIONS page (just click on DIRECTIONS above).
A prior update of interest from July 2018 - it's old news, but we're still pretty happy about it:
WE'RE FAMOUS!!! I hope everyone saw the article in the "FOOD" Section of the Wednesday, July 4, 2018 edition of the NY Times. If so, you'll definitely recognize the large picture in the print version (the article was available digitally a day or two earlier and contained the same photo in different format). We're mentioned prominently in the text of the article as well.
I'd put a link to the article here if I knew how - still learning. But there is a link to the article on our Facebook page - FRED PLUS THREE PICK YOUR OWN BLUEBERRIES
